The year is 2060. The city of New Tokyork is a hyperonline collage of holographic billboards and augmented reality objects. The simulation is layered on so thick that sometimes it’s hard to make out what is virtualized by what. Every food supply chain in the world flows through this city, every variety of restaurant to have existed is at least imitated, and every major criminal organization on the planet runs money through the city’s crypto exchanges and moves through its streets. Inevitably, there are cases that the city’s law management and and civil correctness ensurement division ignores or can’t handle. Cases where investigation drones are unable to see the bigger picture, and even the most advanced quadrapedal investigation companion can’t sniff out the truth. Sometimes you need an investigator with both feet in reality to smell what’s really rotten. Sometimes you have to call Jean-Pierre Moncreiff, Excellent Culinary Detective.

Jean-Pierre Moncreiff is a tabletop mystery roleplaying game for one player and one GM.  The game is divided into scenes. Each type of scene is in essence its own sub-game with defined end-conditions. and mechanics.
